Rightpoint continues to revolutionize the digital workplace through the innovation and design of a modernized intranet
CHICAGO – April 8, 2019 – Rightpoint, an independent customer experience agency with technology at its core, has been awarded Best Overall Intranet for Ragan’s 2018 Intranet Awards. The award recognizes Rightpoint’s work with Loblaw Companies Limited, Canada’s leading food and pharmacy retailer, and its innovative approach to reinventing the company’s intranet that serves nearly 200,000 employees.
Hailed with the Grand Prize at Ragan’s Intranet Awards, Rightpoint was selected for its work transforming Loblaw’s culture through an intranet that provides an innovative employee experience. Tasked with updating and modernizing the company’s decade-old system, Rightpoint’s expertise in utilizing cutting-edge technologies to create ubiquitous and connected experiences led to the team’s creation of fl!p, Loblaw’s new intranet.
fl!p improves efficiency and collaboration for Loblaw’s employees who work throughout 2,500 corporate, franchise and associate-owned stores. Rightpoint implemented practical technological features, like a homepage personalized to each employee based on division and persona, the integration of the social networking service Yammer and message cards that simplify communication and empower employees to reach audiences in stores and report recalls. These features caused Yammer communication through fl!p to grow 352 percent, and employee engagement to increase nearly 300 percent over a six-month period.
“Loblaw was a remarkable partner that worked with and challenged us to truly reinvent the intranet,” said Jason Prell, Senior Account Director at Rightpoint. “Through our partnership, our talented team was able to push the limits in mobile and technological innovation to provide a digital workplace that makes employees more efficient and helps them better serve their clients. Loblaw’s willingness to innovate and think outside the box resulted in higher levels of employee engagement, showing that a personalized experience with quick access to critical information can truly be a gamechanger for a business.”
